SRX18009398: DNA-seq of Black yeasts
1 ILLUMINA (Illumina NovaSeq 6000) run: 9.1M spots, 2.7G bases, 789.9Mb downloads

Design: Black yeast was isolated from La Brea Tar Pit soil onto MEYE media, axenically cultured. Tissue was collected, crushed with liquid nitrogen and DNA was extracted using CTAB
Submitted by: University of California, Riverside
Study: Genomes of Black Yeast fungi isolate from Biological Soil Crusts and Rock Surfaces
show Abstracthide Abstract
Black yeasts (Chaetothyriales and Dothideomycetes) were isolated from arid land biological soil crusts, rock surfaces, and a species isolated from tar-soaked soil from the La Brea Tar Pits. Genome sequences, assembly, and annotation were derived from these cultures.
Sample: Black yeast
